Love Nora Roberts, as a general rule, but I just couldn't get into this one. It really came across as being dated, and while normally such a thing is not necessarily a deal breaker for me, it completely ruined this book. The female lead is obnoxiously obstinate in her lame attempts at being an independent, self-sufficient woman (e.g. almost any TV Show or movie from the 80s). I wanted to slap her so many times in the first quarter of the book that I had to just stop reading. For me, reading fiction is all about escapism and enjoyment. This book, unfortunately, just wasn't enjoyable.

I probably won't attempt to read any of the other books in this series unless they're available on the cheap since this one was such a dud.

Great book by Nora Roberts, as usual!
In enjoy this book. I am a hopeless romantic and love wins out, the best ending.
Good stories arrived in excellent shape.
This is the third time I've read this book and the series and enjoyed it each time. Now that I have it on my I'll probably readit another time. It had just the right amount and suspense to keep my interest at a high level.
If your a Big Nora Roberts Fan like I am then you will enjoy this book, it's part of her Night Tales collection,(I suggest you read each one) I'm not going to give away any of the story it's up to you to read but this book and the other books in the collection you will not be dissapointed, If you want Romance and Mystery you will get it in this book, I was not dissapointed at all and if a book can keep me engrossed in it for as long as this did then i give it an A+. I couldn't put it down after i started reading it.
So If your looking for a good Book, then Please try this one and the rest of the collection of the Night Tales collections, Also check out her Other collections.
I will read anything by Nora Roberts and JD Robb. She writes in such a lyrical way that you're immediately pulled into her stories and follow along with the characters and plot.
Wife again read it in two days flat. These trilogies she says are great because "you don't have to read them in any order as they are two short stories in one book".
Basically I bought them out of order I guess and it doesn't matter.
Wife's happy I'm happy.
